The Young Vic Theatre presents the Big Brecht Fest featuring four works presented two at a time. Double Bill 1 A Respectable Wedding & The Jewish Wife 29 March 2007 - 14 April 2007 The Maria & The Clare A Respectable Wedding Translation by Rory Bremner One of Brecht's first performed plays. A gloriously comic account of the worst kind of family do. A Direct Action production. The Jewish Wife Translation by Martin Crimp Berlin - the city of Jews. A woman reassures her friends and packs her life into a suitcase. Double Bill 2 Señora Carrar's Rifles & How Much Is Your Iron? 20 April 2007 - 5 May 2007 The Maria & The Clare Señora Carrar's Rifles Translation by Biyi Bandele Carrar must choose: protect her sons or back the resistance. A pocket political thriller. How Much Is Your Iron? Translation by Enda Walsh A mixture of cabaret and morality tale, a corrosive satire on the international arms trade. A Direct Action production. One ticket includes admission to both shows on the double bill.
