Set amidst the decadence of pre-war fascist Germany, Bent is a powerful tale of the tragedy of love, as three men fight for survival in the face of Nazi persecution. Bent received its world premiere in London at the Royal Court Theatre in 1979 and was then revived at the National Theatre. It was recently voted one of the top 100 plays of the 20th century by the National Theatre. It redefined the notion of love and the lengths we go to protect those we love.
