WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The Elephant Man, by Bernard Pomerance, is the true story of John Merrick, a young man in Victorian London disfigured beyond imagination by an unknown disease. When a brilliant physician seeks normality for the afflicted young man, Merrick is forced to redefine his boundaries.
