This inventive and humorous drama celebrates the making of things—research papers, bridges, community. When fifth-grade latch-key child Sasha can't find a pen to write the due-tomorrow report on the Brooklyn Bridge she is struggling to complete, she works up the courage to break her mother's rules and venture out of their apartment for help. There, in view of the magnificent bridge, she discovers a diverse collection of neighbors, each special in their own way but alike in their deep good-heartedness. Sasha learns that there are facts and then there is what's important—and what's important is what matters.

"It's fun to have fun, but you have to know how." Back by popular demand, our favorite Dr. Seuss character introduces his eclectic entertainment with mischievous humor and madcap style. The Cat in The Hat busts the boredom of a rainy afternoon with all sorts of zaniness – including the iconic and acrobatic Thing One and Thing Two. Rhyming his way through the house while balancing cups and tools, Cat brings a cozy home to chaos where Sally, her brother and their outspokenly cautious pet Fish, are simultaneously amused, astounded and concerned, with good reason.
When Gerald and Piggie get together, anything is possible. They might get invited to a fancy pool costume party, learn a crazy new dance, or decide to spend the day skipping and playing ping-pong in silly hats. Based on the wildly popular, beloved book series, this lively musical features Gerald and Piggie and the delightful back-up singers, the Squirrelles, discovering the fun of being in a play and making the audience do exactly what they want. Bring your "bestus" friend and share the laughter.
It is March, 2000. A child's suitcase arrives from Auschwitz at the tiny Holocaust Education Centre in Tokyo. Painted on the side are a name, Hana Brady, 1931, and the word "Waisenkind" (orphan). Spurred on by the children at the Centre, the curator Fumiko Ishioka, embarks on a relentless search from Tokyo to Prague to Toronto to uncover the story of Hana and her fate. In this inventive, multi-media staging of a true story, we see the Centre's students discover a tale of family love and tragedy; and through their learning about this shameful chapter in history, find a key to tolerance and hope for the future.
Sail along with Max to the land of the Wild Things. This award-winning, internationally acclaimed production from Vancouver's Presentation House Theatre is an intimate "guided play" experience for ages 3 to 7. Adapted from the timeless classic, the audience helps to transform Max's bedroom into the various landscapes of his adventures. The audience then becomes the Wild Things as they are each given a mask and encouraged to "let the Wild Rumpus begin!" With the leadership of the performers, the audience also helps bring Max safely home. This highly interactive production has toured all over the world and now Seattle families will have the opportunity to be part of this special show.
