Based on true events and written by a veteran of the Iraq War, Another Day in Baghdad is an ensemble play that explores the day-to-day life of soldiers rarely portrayed in the media, the small moments and the dramatic ones. The play follows the challenges the soldiers face from the day they are mobilized and sent to Iraq to the moment they finally return to the United States, having seen their comrades killed, their world changed, their lives forever affected by the 11 months they spent on the streets of Baghdad. The playwright, Major David A. Tucker II, commanded an Army Reserve unit that was deployed from March 2003 through March 2004. The unit served in Baghdad, Iraq, in support of the 1st Armored Division.
