Synopsis
This musical comedy, with dark historical underpinnings, follows Eva Perón through her convoluted after-life, as her perfectly preserved corpse is moved from town to town and around the world, setting off political intrigues, public uprisings, secret love-affairs, and mysterious murders. Driven by poetic lyrics and the sensual beats of tango, waltz, and salsa, the show weaves together historical fact and fiction, ultimately revealing the intense love between Evita and the working class and her mesmerizing spiritual power as Argentina's most revered icon. Performances are in English with Spanish surtitles.
