WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
In Spanish with English surtitles. This powerful drama of honor and justice is considered one of Lope's masterpieces, yet is rarely produced. when Galician peasants Sancho and Elvira's wedding plans are cancelled by feudal lord Tello, who wants Elvira for himself and cruelly violates her, the King disguises himself as a magistrate to personally see that justice is served.
