RE:Must-see: Woman power through the ages
Middle Eastern dance and modern choreography based on traditional belly dance moves combine in this brief and lovely show with gorgeous costumes and sensuous movements to create an exuberant celebration of life. The women in the troupe express a range of emotions, from the pain of oppression to the charming joys of flirtation, innocent and otherwise. The performers personalities and the power of their female energy shine through every dance. Dances include a trance dance, a snake dance, a lively gypsy-style dance, a dance that recreates an Egyptian slave dance for the pharoah, and a delicate contemplative dance combining ancient and modern movements. The over-riding message is the abiding strength and beauty of the female spirit, from deepest antiquity to today.
