Brad Oscar and J. Fred Shiffman will star in the Arena Stage's production of Charles Ludlam's award-winning comedy The Mystery of Irma Vep, June 6-July 13. The production, which will open officially on June 12, will be directed by Rebecca Bayla Teichman.

In this spoof of horror films, the two actors play all the characters of various genders, including Lady Enid and Lord Edgar.

The creative team includes James Noone (sets), David Zinn (costumes), Daniel Maclean Wagner (lighting), Bray Poor (sound), Parker Ease (choreography), and David S. Leong (fight choreography). Taichman's credits include The Scene, The Taming of the Shrew, and Dead Man Cell's Phone.

Oscar received a Tony Award nomination for his work in The Producers. His many other stage credits include Monty Python's Spamalot, Aspects of Love, Jekyll & Hyde, and Forbidden Broadway. He co-starred with Shiffman in the Arena Stage productions of Damn Yankees and Cabaret. Shiffman most recently appeared in the Arena Stage productions of Arthur Miller's A View From the Bridge and Death of a Salesman.
