Complete casting has been announced for Arena Stage's new production of Crowns, to play the Lincoln Theatre, March 27-April 26, with an opening date set for April 2. Kenneth Lee Roberson will direct and choreograph, with musical direction by Grammy nominee e'Marcus Harper.

This Helen Hayes Awards winning musical is adapted from the book by Michael Cunningham and Craig Marberry. It tells the story of Yolanda, a young woman who faces a change in her life and through it finds her true promise and identity.

As previously announced, Zurin Villanueva -- the winner of Arena Stage's Finding Yolanda contest -- will make her professional debut as Yolanda. The cast will also include E. Faye Butler, NaTasha Yvette Williams, Mary Millben, Kara Tameika Watkins, and Phillip Boykin.

The production will feature set design by Neil Patel, costume design by Austin K. Sanderson, lighting design by Nancy Schertler, and sound design by Timothy Thompson.
