The Kennedy Center has announced its plans for the 44th annual Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF), which will take place April 16-21.
During the festival, The Kennedy Center will host more than 120 theater students from colleges and universities across the nation. Earlier in the year, these artists presented their work and were selected to receive an expense-paid trip to participate in National Festival events.
Those events will include Short Play Readings featuring the finalists of the John Cauble Award for Outstanding Short Play: Amanda Newman, Lupe Flores, J.C. Pankratz, and Jonathan Fitts and the KCACTF Ten-Minute Play Award: Adam Pasen, Nicholas Sawin, Zdenka Turecek, and Brittany Taylor. There will also be master classes with theater professionals in various fields and a closing day ceremony for awards in production, directing, choreography, acting, writing, design, stage management, dramaturgy, and theater criticism.
