WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Walking the Winds: Arabian Tales contains seven stories that reflect the music and traditions of the various cultures of the modern and ancient Arab world with song and dance. Well known characters from literature, folklore and history of the Arab world such as the Sumerian King Gilgamesh, the comedic Djuha and Tambouri, and the resourceful Jubaybani will be woven together through exploits of the great Arabic explorer Ibn Battutah. Walking the Winds: Arabian Tales celebrates the richness, diversity, warmth and humanity of the Arabian world. Deirdre Kelly Lavrakas and Lina Attel co-direct.
