WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
In Valor, Agravio y Mujer, a 17th century comedy by Ana Caro (one of the few women playwrights of Spain's Golden Age), a female protagonist takes hilarious revenge on Don Juan, stripping away his honor and glory and turning the Spanish "macho" upside down. GALA's producing artistic director Hugo Medrano gives yet another twist to this universally recognized story, setting it in more modern times. The show is being produced in collaboration with the National Association of Spanish Classical Theater, and with support from the Embassy of Spain.
