WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The Actors' Theatre of Washington (ATW) presents Tramps and Vamps, two one-act plays by landmark GLBT playwrights.
The first act, The Ruffian on the Stair, is by 1960s British playwright Joe Orton and is directed by ATW managing director, Matty Griffiths.
The second act brings the camp-fest of Charles Busch's early 1980s drag classic, Vampire Lesbians of Sodom to the stage.
In addition, each Friday during the run of Tramps and Vamps, ATW kicks off the premiere of "atw late-night." The first late-night production is the drag/floorshow extravaganza SEXE! The Floorshow - The Vagina Sing-A-Longs at 10:45 p.m. at the Church Street Theatre. Each Friday night will bring a new show.
