Theater J has emerged as one of the most distinctive, progressive and respected Jewish theaters in North America by virtue of its ambitious range of programming and the bold, imaginative artistry of its playwrights, directors, designers and actors. The 2008-2009 Season includes: Honey Brown Eyes By Stefanie Zadravec October 22 - November 30, 2008 Bosnia 1992. A Serbian paramilitary must face the consequences of his own brutality, while a Bosnian resistance fighter, crippled by the limits of his own courage, seeks refuge with a kindred soul. Shalom Aleichem: Laughter Through Tears Written and performed by Theodore Bikel December 17, 2008 - January 11, 2009 This great theatrical legend returns to Theater J to unveil this movingly delivered, beautifully sung show about the pioneering 19th Century author Sholom Aleichem and his journey to America.
