Based on the book by Sam Swope, The Araboolies of Liberty Street is a world premiere musical, commissioned by Imagination Stage. General and Mrs. Pinch rule Liberty Street with a firm hand. Imagine their horror when the Araboolies move in! This eccentric, colorful, acrobatic, non-English speaking family brings pets, music and games of Remote Tickle and Boola Noola Ball. The Pinches declare war and summon the army! Only the children can save the fun-loving Araboolies and finally allow Liberty Street to live up to its name.

This story has a new twist -- literally -- as it is told with the help of acrobatics. Choreographer Robert Dion is well-known for his very physical brand of storytelling in his work with his Canadian company, DynamO. Book and lyrics are by the original author, and it features music by Gihieh Lee. Janet Stanford directs.
