Polly Stenham leads the next generation of contemporary British playwrights through controversial plots and grueling themes. Stenham left her place at University College London to complete That Face, and her efforts were praised by critics surprised at her precocious talent and ferocious voice. Though her writing style has been compared to both Edward Albee and Tennessee Williams, her razor-sharp take on unraveling families and disintegrating power structures is unmistakably in-yer-face.
