WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

SouthSide examines the community and citywide response to youth violence in light of the aftermath of the 2004 fatal shooting of James "J-Rock" Richardson at Ballou Senior High School in Southeast DC and the 1994 killing of Robert "Yummy" Sandifer in Chicago. Inspired by real events and interviews, SouthSide is a solemn call and fervent prayer for non-violence and non-retaliation.
