In this special World Premiere production of Runaway Home, Javon Johnson brings to the stage the true story of a single African-American mother in Anderson, South Carolina, who must choose between the demands of her family and a life of her own. This spirited new work illuminates the limits of a mother's love and explores the delicate and dynamic relationships that all siblings share. With five children and multiple suitors, thirty-something Betty Ann must weigh the demands of responsibility against her exploration of personal freedom.
