Kenneth Branagh's Public Enemy, which is inspired by the 1930s movie of the same name about a gangster's meteoric rise and fall, unfolds in Belfast during the political "troubles" of the 1980s, where a man fixated on James Cagney finds his life mirroring that of the character Cagney played in the film.

Public Enemy
What happens when a guy takes a fantasy life too far? How does it affect the innocence around him? These are just some of the themes touched on in the latest superb play at Scena Theater. The acting and storyline were excellent with quite a few surprises along the way. Highly recommended!

Public Enemy
Not your everyday trip to the Theatre. Public Enemies was an inside look at one mans struggle between doing whats right for his family and getting sucked into a gansters world in 1980s Belfast, Ireland. The lead role was superbly acted. He did a great split between old Cagney characters and his own destructive downward spiral. The supporting cast was also interesting and well played. A great play to go and experience at the H st. Playhouse.
