WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Polaroid Stories, by Naomi Iizuka, combines classical mythology, including Ovid's Metamorphoses, and real-life stories told by street kids into a provocative tale of survival in contemporary society. An abandoned pier on a city's edge finds dreamers, dealers, desperadoes and runaways seeking camaraderie, refuge and escape.
