WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The centerpiece of Olney Theater Center's Gala 2007 is Defying Gravity, a cabaret performance of Stephen Schwartz music performed by today's hottest Broadway stars. Schwartz has won almost every music award possible, including 3 Oscars, 5 Grammys and 3 Drama Desk Awards. Songs from his most successful Broadway productions, such as Wicked, Godspell, Pippin, Pocahontas and Hunchback of Notre Dame, will be featured in this memorable event.
Featuring award winning Broadway veterans Debbie Gravitte, Liz Callaway and Scott Coulter.
The Saturday event begins with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres at 7:00pm, followed by the 8:00pm performance of Defying Gravity, and a Grand Dessert afterwards.
