From his Broadway standards to his concert hall hits, the timeless brilliance of George Gershwin takes the spotlight in an extraordinary tribute to his enduring legacy. Kennedy Center Artistic Director for Jazz Jason Moran puts his unique spin on some of Gershwin's most tuneful compositions on piano with guest vocalist José James. Then, Tony-nominated baritone Norm Lewis and soprano Alicia Hall Moran reprise their lead roles from the recent Broadway revival of Porgy and Bess to perform sweeping selections from Gershwin's treasured masterpiece, celebrating 85 years since its landmark Broadway premiere.
