WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Director of the Olney Theatre Institute, Bill Gillett, says of this annual tour, "Summer Shakespeare is all about actors reinvigorating Shakespeare's text in the spirit of summer fun, I think that is why the community enjoys it so much -- and it's free!"
Clay Hopper directs.
Patrons may arrive as early as 6:30 PM to picnic on the theater grounds. Boxed meals may be ordered through reservations with the box office. Lawn chairs and blankets are encouraged. A limited number of bleacher seats will also be available.
