What could be more perfect for the Valentine's season, than Love Letters, a play about a couple whose love letters carry them throughout their lives. Fated to be unsuited to each other, Melissa Gardner and Andrew Makepeace Ladd are opposites. From their childhoods, their love affairs, their careers, marriages and aspirations, rich artistic Melissa and ambitious staid Andrew are like oil and water.

The story begins when Andy accepts an invitation to Melissa's childhood birthday party. Melissa sends Andy a note to thank him for her present--her first letter. As time passes, a poignantly funny and ill-fated romance unfolds in their letters in words are both hysterical and moving.
