WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The first play to feature an entire cast of jazz musicians which debuted at the 2004 New York JVC Jazz Festival. Take a trip back to 1964 New York with a modern day rapper as he learns an important lesson about the legacy of live music creation. Features top musicians from the bands of Art Blakey, Ellington and Broadway! Starring Gregory Charles Royal who was chronicled in the book Art Blakey Jazz Messenger by Leslie Gourse, and Rachel Cora Wood who appeared in National Treasure Book of Secrets.
