From the delightful and devious mind of seven-time Tony Award winner Stephen Sondheim, Into the Woods is a motley collection of famous fairy tales whose characters don't exactly wind up living "happily ever after." Giants, witches and charming princes abound as Cinderella, Red Riding Hood, Jack and friends take to the woods (and one tall beanstalk) in search of their deepest desires, only to find that their wishes come with unexpected, and sometimes grim, consequences. Featuring memorable tunes including "Agony" and "Children Will Listen," the musical is a clever mix of irreverence, angst and genuine emotion that will leave you looking at children's stories in a whole new light.
