In Huck Finn's Story, a drama with music, Huck, the boy who won't be "sivilized," sets off down the Mississippi River with Jim, a runaway slave. They attract a heap of trouble along the way avoiding bounty hunters and finally out-smarting a couple of con artists. But they miss the Ohio River--Jim's only chance of reaching free land. Hopelessness turns to joy as Jim does attain his freedom, and the unconventional friendship between a white boy and a black man is cemented. Kathryn Chase Bryer directs.
