On April 5th, 2012, Great Noise Ensemble returns to the Atlas Performing Arts Center for Revelation, a program of music dealing with mysteries revealed, be they organizational, physical or mystical and individuals against a crowd. With the performance of Treestone, GNE honors the memory of the great American composer Stephen Albert, who died 20 years ago last December (1992). This program will also feature tonight our own Molly Orlando Palmiero, in the world premiere of The Curse of Sophistication, a new piano concerto written for her and GNE by Daniel Felsenfeld. Also featured on this program is Aleksandra Vrebalov's Transparent Walls, in which she beings the listener into the moment of revelation, a musical meditation on moments of clarity.
