One of Lope's most poetic works, this tragicomedy is driven by intrigue, honor, and a passionate love doomed by a bitter rivalry between two Spanish towns.

GALA collaborates with a dynamic company of Spanish artists, Acción Sur, in this new adaptation and co-production supported by the Embassy of Spain in Washington, the Program for Cultural Cooperation between Spain and U.S. Universities, Theater Communications Group, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the DC Humanities Council.
