This season Kronos Quartet and Eiko & Koma - artists-in-residence at the Center during the 2011-12 season. - will join forces for Fragile, a world premiere event created especially for our space and our audiences.

Unfolding over two evenings, Fragile is modeled after a museum installation, allowing viewers to stay for the whole evening or for just a few minutes. Each evening will feature multiple performance configurations - sometimes dance and music together, sometimes just dance, sometimes just music. This event is open from 5PM to 9PM each night.

The artists have worked together in the past and they draw deep inspiration from each other's vision. As David Harrington says, "I get more ideas per square second when I'm with Eiko and Koma than at any other time." Eiko adds, "I like who the members of Kronos are as human beings, and I like their spirit of creating a new culture."
