MetroStage presents Bricktop, a new musical featuring book and lyrics by Calvin A. Ramsey and Thomas W. Jones II, with original music by S. Renee Clark. Thomas W. Jones II directs.
This electrifying new musical celebrates the lives of three remarkable women in a tapestry of words, music, and dance that will leave you breathless. Bricktop explores the enduring friendship and extraordinary lives of three musical legends, Ada "Bricktop" Smith, Alberta Hunter, and Mabel Mercer and their extraordinary impact on 20th century music.
