WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Bowen McCauley Dance, recognized by the Washington Post as "DC's premier contemporary dance company," is known for its company of classically trained dancers who perform a sweeping range of choreography. In keeping with her commitment to collaborations and live music accompaniment, artistic director Lucy Bowen McCauley brings together artistic partners Alan Paul of Shakespeare Theatre, scenic designer Tony Cisek, lighting designer Martha Mountain, the Witkowski Piano Duo, Italian virtuoso saxophonist Gaetano DiBacco, and a host of accomplished musicians. The company performs to musical works by Igor Stravinsky, Patrick Soluri, Larry Alan Smith, and Paule Maurice.
