Peter Shaffer's Amadeus, winner of seven Tony Awards ? including Best Play ? and the Oscar for Best Picture, depicts the flamboyant genius of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart as seen through the eyes of his desperately jealous contemporary, composer Antonio Salieri.
