Another Way Home starts performances at Theater J this evening.

It’s visiting day at Camp Kickapoo, and Joey’s parents are excited to see him in his new environment. However, excitement turns to panic when they realize Joey is nowhere to be found. As they search for their son, the couple is confronted by the larger issues underlying their family structure, including the emptiness of their marriage and the ways that things would be different if they had made different choices.

Another Way Home, written by Anna Ziegler and directed by Shirley Serotsky, features Shayna Blass, Rick Foucheux, Naomi Jacobson, Thony Mena, and Chris Stinson.

"Anna Ziegler's play Another Way Home will resonate with everyone who has ever lived with a teenager, known a teenager, or been a teenager," said director Serotsky. "This funny and poignant story about a couple visiting their son at sleep-away camp subtly touches on the big questions of life — about marriage, family, and the legacy we create during our time on earth."

The creative team includes Paige Hathaway (set design), Debra Sivigny (costume design), Harold F. Burgess II (lighting design), Matthew Nielson (sound design), and Kevin Laughon (props designer).

Performances will run through July 17.
