Romeo and Juliet Set to Play at Synetic Theater

Synetic’s revival of one of their original Wordless Shakespeare productions starts tonight.

Romeo and Juliet, a wordless Shakespeare production at Synetic Theater, begins performances tonight.

In this movement-driven adaptation, the iconic tragedy is set against the gears of a giant clock, while the unforgettable lovers Romeo and Juliet fight time itself in an effort to escape their fate.

Based on Shakespeare’s tragedy, the show is directed by Paata Tsikurishvili and choreographed by Irina Tsikurishvili. Playing the title characters are Zana Gankhuyag as Romeo and Irina Kavsadze as Juliet. Alongside them are Randy Snight as Paris, Chris Galindo as Lord Capulet, Katherine Frattini as Lady Capulet, Ryan Sellers as Tybalt, Kathy Gordon as Nurse, Irakli Kavsdze as Friar Laurence, and Scott Turner, Janine Baumgardner, and Eliza Smith in the ensemble.

Performances will run through March 27.
