Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and More Celebrated the Opening of Our War

The production at Arena Stage is a collection of short stories exploring the Civil War.

Our War, a theatrical event and collection of short stories exploring the historical memory and present-day reverberations of the U.S. Civil War, opened last week at Arena Stage. The special event featured Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who performed an original monologue by David Lindsay-Abaire.

Our War is directed by Anita Maynard-Losh and will play through January 4. The show's ensemble features Kelly Renee Armstrong, Ricardo Frederick Evans, John Lescault, Tuyet Pham, Lynette Rathnam, and Sara Waisanen. Joining the ensemble throughout the run are many leaders from the D.C. community, including Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, MSNBC's Chris Matthews, Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton, and more.
