James Earl Jones to Join Michael Kahn for Shakespeare Theatre’s Classic Conversations

Shakespeare Theatre Company Artistic Director Michael Kahn will host award-winning actor James Earl Jones for the third installment of the company’s Classic Conversations series. The event will take place at Sidney Harman Hall on January 12, 2012 at 8pm.

Classic Conversations with Michael Kahn engages audience in an evening of in-depth discussions on classical theatre and the craft of acting. Previous guests include Kevin Kline and Patrick Stewart.

Jones’ stage credits include performances in Henry V, Othello,Fences, Master Harold…and the Boys, On Golden Pond, Driving Miss Daisy, which he is currently performing in London through December 17. He is slated to return to Broadway in a 2012 Broadway production of Gore Vidal’s The Best Man.

On film, Jones has lent his distinctive talents in works like Field of Dreams,The Hunt for Red October,Clear and Present Danger and perhaps most famously as the voice of Darth Vader in Star Wars and Mufasa in the animated film The Lion King.

Jones’ numerous awards include two Tonys, four Emmys, a Golden Globe, two Cable ACEs, two OBIEs, five Drama Desks, and a Grammy.
