Signature to Host The Big Hair Ball Dance Party

Signature Theatre will host the dance party, The Big Hair Ball on Saturday, November 5 at 8pm. The event is being presented in conjunction with Signature’s production of the musical Hairspray, which will play the theater, November 21-January 29.

Cast members from the musical will mix with the guests. Patrons can also participate in dance classes offered and have their hair teased at Big Hair Salon. In addition, Prizes will be awarded for ‘Best Beehive,’ ‘Most Colorful Suit,’ and Miss Signature Hon.

Based on the 1988 cult film directed by John Waters, Hairspray features music by Marc Shaiman, lyrics by Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman, and a book by Mark O’Donnell and Thomas Meehan. As previously reported, National radio host Robert Aubry Davis will star as Edna Turnblad in Signature’s production.
