Stage and screen star Patrick Stewart will join Shakespeare Theatre Company artistic director Michael Kahn for the first installment of the Classic Conversation series, to be held at Sidney Harman Hall on Tuesday, October 18, at 8pm.

The evening will feature an in-depth discussion on classical theatre and the craft of acting.

Stewart received a Tony nomination for playing the title role in the 2008 production of Macbeth, and won a 2009 Olivier Award for his performance as Claudius and The Ghost in the RSC’s Hamlet. He most recently appeared on Broadway in A Life in the Theatre, and has previously appeared at STC in the title role in the company’s “photo-negative” production of Othello during the 1997-1998 Season. His many film and television credits include playing Professor Xavier in the X-Men series of films and Captain Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation.
