Nancy Robinette, Danny Scheie, Marc Vietor, et al. Set for Arena Stage You, Nero

Arena Stage has announced casting for Amy Freed’s You, Nero, to be presented in the Fichandler Stage, November 25-January 1. Nicholas Martin will direct.

In the play, as Rome collapses beneath Nero’s outrageous narcissism, a forgotten playwright tries to restore order through the art of theater.

Danny Scheie, who originated the role of Nero in both the South Coast Repertory and Berkeley Repertory Theatre productions of this play, will once again play the tile role..

The cast will also include Susannah Schulman as Poppaea, Kasey Mahaffy as Fabiolo, Marc Vietor as Scribonius, Nancy Robinette as Agrippina, Laurence O’Dwyer as Burrus, and John C. Vennema as Seneca.
