DruidMurphy, three plays by Irish writer Tom Murphy, October 17-20 in the Kennedy Center Eisenhower Theater. Garry Hynes directs.

The DruidMurphy experience, which consists of Murphy’s plays Conversations on a Homecoming (October 19 and 20), A Whistle in the Dark (October 18 and 20), and Famine (October 17 and 20), allows audience members to see each play individually or the full three-play cycle in one day. Together, the plays tell the story of Irish emigration: a story both of those who went and those who were left behind.

The cast of the three plays will feature Niall Buggy, Edward Clayton, Beth Cooke, Brian Doherty, Gavin Drea, Garrett Lombard, Aaron Monaghan, Marie Mullen, Michael Glenn Murphy, Treasa Ní Mhiolláin, Rory Nolan, John Olohan, Frank O’Sullivan, Isaac O’Sullivan, Marty Rea, and Eileen Walsh.

The design team will include Francis O’Connor (associate director of design), David Bolger (associate director of movement), Joan O’Clery (costume design), Chris Davey (lighting design), and Gregory Clarke (sound design).
