Signature Theatre in Arlington, Virginia has announced casting for its upcoming 25th anniversary season.

Wesley Taylor, best known for his role on NBC's Smash and cocreator and star of the original Hulu series It Could Be Worse, will lead the cast of Signature's Cabaret as the Emcee, currently being portrayed on Broadway by Tony winner Alan Cumming. In addition to his television roles, the stage alum has also performed in the Broadway casts of Rock of Ages and The Addams Family. Cabaret will run at the Virginia theater from April 14-June 18, 2015.

Charlie Pollock (Violet) and Mary Kate Morrissey (Hair) have also been cast to star as Elmer Gantry and Sharon Falconer in Signature's re-imagining of the musical version of Sinclair Lewis' best-selling novel Elmer Gantry. Nova Y. Payton (Dreamgirls) will take on the role of Mary Washington in the production, set to run from October 7-November 9.

Signature will also welcome Natascia Diaz (The Threepenny Opera) to the cast of Nick Blaemire's world premiere musical Soon in the role of Adrienne. Performances will run from March 10-April 26, 2015.

Signature Theatre's 25th season lineup also includes the world premiere musical Diner, written by Sheryl Crow and Barry Levinson (December 9-January 25, 2015); the world premiere of John Kander and Greg Pierce's new collaboration Kid Victory (February 17-March 22, 2015); the D.C. premiere of Laura Eason's Sex with Strangers (October 14-December 7); Simply Sondheim (April 22-19, 2015); and Sunday in the Park with George, which opens the season August 5, running through September 21.
