American Ensemble Theater, Essential Theater, MetroStage Among Participants in Kennedy Center’s Page-to-Stage

The Kennedy Center has announced the participating theaters for its 11th Annual Page-to-Stage new play festival, to be held September 1-3.

The festival will feature more than 40 theaters from the D.C. metropolitan area, participating in a three-day event with free readings and open rehearsals of plays and musicals being developed by local, regional, and national playwrights, librettists, and composers.

Participating theaters include ABG Playwrights, Active Cultures Theatre, African-American Collective Theater, American Ensemble Theater, The Apothetae, Artists’ Bloc, Bouncing Ball Theatricals, Bowie State University Theatre Department, Catholic University, Charter Theatre, DC-Area Playwrights Group, Dramatists Guild of America, Essential Theater, Field Trip Theatre, Folger Theatre, Forum Theatre, Georgetown University, Guillotine Theatre, Hollins University, Hub Theatre, Indian Ocean Theatre Company, The Inkwell, Intersections: A New America Arts Festival, Kennedy Center Access, The Kennedy Center Kenan Fellowship, Kennedy Center Theater for Young Audiences, MetroStage, My Creative Spirit, National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts, The Performance Corporation, The Playwright Zone, Playwrights Group of Baltimore, Safe Streets Arts Foundation, Scena Theatre, Seventh Street Playhouse, Signature Theatre, Synetic Theater, Taffety Punk, The Comedy Academy, Inc., Theater J, Thunderous Productions, Timeless Visual Works, LLC, Venus Theatre, Virginia Children’s Theater, Wanderlust Theater Lab, and The Washington Rogues.
