George Dvorsky Joins Cast of Signature’s Ace

George Dvorsky has joined the ensemble of the Signature Theatre production of Robert Taylor and Richard Oberacker’s musical Ace, replacing Tom Galantich. The production, to be directed by Signature’s artistic director Eric Schaeffer, will run August 26-September 28.

Set just after WWII, Ace is an epic story of a young boy’s search to come to terms with his past and unlock his future.

The principal cast will include Dalton Harrod as Danny, Jill Paice as Danny’s mother Elizabeth, Matthew Scott as the title character Ace, Emily Skinner and Duke Lafoon as Danny’s foster parents, Christiane Noll as Ruth, Jim Stanek as John Robert, Florence Lacey as Mrs. Crandall, and Angelina Kelly as Danny’s friend Emily. Performing in the ensemble will be Richard Barth, Tracy Lynn Olivera, Jason Reiff, Danny Rothman, Elizabeth Share, and Gabrielle Stravelli.

The production features choreography by Karma Camp, scenic design by Walt Spangler, costume design by Robert Perdziola, lighting design by Ken Billington and Jason Kandrowitz, projection design by Michael Clark, orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick, and musical direction by David Kreppel.

Dvorsky recently starred in Signature’s The Happy Time. His Broadway credits include The Scarlet Pimpernel, Gentleman Prefer Blondes, and Passion.
