Olney Theatre Center has announced casting for Little Shop of Horrors, running August 1-26. Mark Waldrop will direct, with musical direction by Ross Scott Rawlings and choreography by Vince Pesce.

With music by Alan Menken and a book by Howard Ashman, Little Shop of Horrors is the story of hapless florist shop worker, Seymour, who finds and raises a mysterious, blood-thirsty plant that brings the florist attention from everyone.

The cast will feature James Gardiner (Seymour), Carolyn Agan (Audrey), Bobby Smith (Orin), Ethan Watermeier (Mushnik), Kara-Tameika Watkins (Chiffon), Shaunte Tabb (Crystal), and Leayne Freeman (Ronnette) as well as Tina Ghandchilar, Matthew Schleigh, Russell Sunday, Stephawn Stephens (the voice of Audrey II), and Erik Brooks (puppeteer for Audrey II).

The design team will include James Fouchard (set design), David Kaley (costume design), Charlie Morrison (lighting design), and Jeffrey Dorfman (sound design).
