Morgan Freeman Honored at Ford’s Theatre Gala, with Performances by Robert Cuccioli, Matthew Morrison

Morgan Freeman and Elie Wiesel will receive Lincoln Medals at the Ford’s Theatre Annual Gala on Sunday, June 3. The black-tie evening will be followed by a seated dinner at the National Portrait Gallery and Smithsonian American Art Museum.

The event, which will honor courageous achievement through performance, will be hosted by Scott Bakula, and feature appearances by Anna Christy, The Civil Wars, Bettye LaVette, Matthew Morrison, Robert Cuccioli, Bobby Smith, and additional cast members from the Ford’s Theatre revival of 1776.

First Lady Michelle Obama serves as the honorary chair of the celebration. The gala benefits the Ford’s Theatre Society and its programming.
