Eric Schaeffer to Receive Honorary Doctorate from Kutztown University

Kutztown University will award an honorary doctorate degree to alumnus and Signature Theatre Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer at its spring 2012 commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 12.

Schaeffer, class of 1984, will receive a Doctor of Humane Letters, litterarum humanarum, for his contributions to the arts, theater, and performance in a ceremony for undergraduate and graduate students of the Colleges of Visual & Performing Arts and Liberal Arts & Sciences.

Schaeffer is currently directing the Los Angeles production of Stephen Sondheim and James Goldman’s Follies at the Ahmanson Theatre, which ran on Broadway this past fall.
