WSC Avant Bard to Present An Evening of Shakespeare in Klingon II: The Wrath of (Michael) Kahn

WSC Avant Bard is to present An Evening of Shakespeare in Klingon II: The Wrath of (Michael) Kahn, March 4 at 8pm at the Rosslyn Spectrum in Arlington

Michael Kahn, Artistic Director of Shakespeare Theatre Company, will join WSC Avant Bard Artistic Director Christopher Henley, Board President Marc Okrand, creator of the original language, and their crew of Shakespearian Klingons for this benefit event. Scenes from Hamlet, The Tempest, and other works will be performed in both English and Klingon. There will also be a short conversation with Marc Okrand about his work with the Star Trek franchise over the years, and an audience question and answer session with Kahn, Henley, and special guest Klingons at the conclusion of the show.

In related news, Washington City Paper has reported that WSC Avant Bard will present a staged reading of Richard Byrne’s new play Nero/Pseudo, May 30 at Artisphere.
