Terrence Howard, Patti Labelle, Spike Lee, et al. Set for BET Honors Show

Multiple Grammy Award winner and Broadway veteran Patti Labelle will perform at the fifth annual BET Honors show, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The event will be taped at the Warner Theater in Washington, D.C. on January 14, and aired on February 13. Gabrielle Union will host.

Honorees will include Maya Angelou, Mariah Carey, Beverly Kearney, Spike Lee, Stevie Wonder, and the Tuskegee Airmen.

Performers will also include Common, Aretha Franklin, and Cicely Tyson. Among the other participating celebrities will be Broadway veteran Terrence Howard, Cuba Gooding Jr., and Willow Smith.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Metro TeenAIDS, a community health organization that supports young people in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
